      Corrosion Resistant Heat Exchangers

We offer both graphite and silicon carbide (SSiC) heat exchangers.

      GAB Neumann have been manufacturing heat exchangers for 50+ years and have supplied more than 20,000 exchangers across the globe to work in the most arduous duties. They are an innovative company with a high degree of knowledge around heat transfer and machining of difficult to process materials.

      Design Types

      Graphite heat exchangers are available in standard traditional cross drilled block designs and also annular groove designs, the annular groove design is unique to GAB and provides a turbulent flow through the heat exchanger made possible with specially machined graphite blocks. This is highly advantageous as it reduces fouling in the exchanger automatically cleaning the internals and increasing thermal transfer. The design has bonded graphite rings requiring gaskets just at the ends minimising any potential leak paths and cross contamination problems. They have a small overall size and can be supplied in CGMP designs for use in API production facilities. 

      Shell and tube heat exchangers are manufactured from Silicon Carbide which provides excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance coupled with high thermal transfer properties and can be used in ultra high purity applications.

      Silicon Carbide plate heat exchangers comprise of many thin Silicon Carbide plates with a very large surface area providing excellent thermal transfer.
